Beijing Liubiju Museum
Our story begins in the Ming dynasty. Here, on Liangshidian Street in the Qianmen Dashilan area, the Liubiju Sauce and Pickle Shop was first established in the first year of the Zhengtong reign — that is, fourteen thirty-six. It has stood here for nearly six centuries. To celebrate this centuries-old heritage brand and safeguard its legacy for generations to come, the Liubiju Museum was opened on this very site in twenty nineteen.

Jing-style mortise and tenon art originated in the Imperial Workshops – known as Zaobanchu – of the Forbidden City. The word “Jing” means Beijing, underlining its imperial heritage. It is a systematic fusion of science and art, bringing together hardwood furniture joinery techniques and the spirit of imperial culture.

Beijing Arts and Crafts Museum
Founded in nineteen eighty-seven and affiliated with Beijing Gongmei Group Co., Ltd., this is the very first specialised arts and crafts museum established by an enterprise in China. The museum comprises a Treasure Gallery, a Special Exhibition Gallery, a Gift Shop, and a multi-purpose hall for public education and outreach programmes. Spanning five thousand square metres, it serves as a vital window into the history and culture of Beijing’s traditional arts and crafts.

Founded in twenty thirteen by Mr. Xing Hongzhi, the Museum Director and Founder, the museum has a total floor area of fifteen thousand square metres. It is divided into three sections: the Cultural Exhibition Area, the Interactive Experience Area, and the Craftsmanship Viewing Area.

Ancient Pottery Culture Museum
The collection features around three thousand excavated artifacts. They are organized into three main themes: pottery spanning from the Neolithic era to the Tang dynasty; bricks and tile ends from the Warring States, Qin, and Han periods; and the remarkable clay seals from those same centuries.

The museum began its life as the Mentougou District Museum. It is Beijing's first comprehensive museum dedicated to the culture of an entire river basin. It first opened its doors to the public in September nineteen eighty-four, and was officially renamed in August twenty eleven.
